The Petzl ASAP LOCK (B071BB00) is a mobile fall arrester for rope access and work at height. It follows movement along the rope without manual adjustment. During a fall or uncontrolled descent exceeding two metres per second, it blocks on the rope to arrest the fall, even if the user grabs the device.

The LOCK function holds the device in position to reduce potential fall distance and helps prevent wind lifting the rope. Its connection arm makes the system drop-resistant when passing intermediate anchors. It can serve as a backup in a rope-access system or a primary belay device in a fall-arrest system, using Petzl’s specified configurations.

ASAP LOCK must be used with a compatible Petzl ASAP’SORBER energy absorber. Petzl specifies the appropriate ASAP’SORBER 20/40 for single-person use up to 140 kg, or ASAP’SORBER AXESS for two-person rescue up to 250 kg. These limits depend on the correct absorber generation, rope, connectors and complete system described in the Instructions for Use.

This listing is for the standalone ASAP LOCK device, rather than a pre-assembled kit. Energy absorber, connectors and rope are sold separately.
